This is former Planned Parenthood president, Faye Wattleton, who was interviewed about abortion in Ms. magazine.
She says: "...any pretense that abortion is not killing is a signal of our ambivalence, a signal that we cannot say yes, it kills a fetus..."
This is Harry Blackmun, former U.S. Supreme Court Justice.
In 1973, he wrote the majority opinion for Roe vs. Wade, the verdict which federally legalized abortion in the U.S.
It reads: "The judiciary, at this point in the development of man's knowledge, is not in a position to... resolve the difficult question of when life begins..."
What?!!
Doctors know when life begins. Abortion providers know when life begins. But the Supreme Court doesn't know when life begins?
This is world-renowned geneticist, Jérôme Lejeune.
In 1981, he testified before a U.S. Senate Judiciary Subcommittee about the beginning of life.
Here's what he said:
"After fertilization has taken place a new human being has come into being. [It] is no longer a matter of taste or opinion... it is plain experimental evidence. Each individual has a very neat beginning, at conception."
The Senate report concluded: "Physicians, biologists, and other scientists agree that conception marks the beginning of the life of a human being... there is overwhelming agreement on this point..."
Doctors know.
Planned Parenthood knows.
The United States Senate knows.
Life begins at fertilization.
Which means that every abortion kills one of the most helpless members of the human community.
