I was 24 when I found out I was 5-weeks pregnant. My boyfriend was 25; we had barely been together for a year. You would think at that age we would have our live’s figured out, but we didn’t. We still felt we hadn’t lived enough to take on that big commitment. I was about to start a new job with an airline. It had always been a dream to travel the world. I was so excited to start, and I know that was the biggest reason for my abortion I wish my carelessness and selfishness didn’t get the best of me. I wish I knew what abortion does to you afterwards. You’re left at nights crying your eyes out. Days, weeks, months, years go by, but you will never forget what could’ve been. You could’ve been a mom to a happy little boy/girl. You would’ve been holding a little bit of you in your arms every single night. I never took the job offer. It reminded me so much about giving up a life for my selfishness. I named my unborn child Aero.
