Abortion Story: Baltimore, MD

I am a 57-year-old mother of a 26-year-old son and a 21-year-old daughter. I also have a 3-year-old granddaughter. In November, 1980, I was in my last year of college and got pregnant. In December, I told my boyfriend that I was pregnant and was going to have an abortion. My baby would have been born in July 1981, and would be 35-years-old.
I locked this secret in my heart for 20 years. The only one that knew was my boyfriend and myself. Although I ended up marrying the same man, and had my children with him, the lie consumed me. Ten years ago I was so depressed that I couldn't get out of bed. When I finally shared my story, I was able to heal. Before that, I could never forgive myself. Satan kept telling me that I killed my baby!!!!
The Bible says, "If you confess your sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Satan wants us to believe that because abortion is legal, it is not
harmful. That is a lie. [I wish it hadn’t taken me] 20 years to share my story.
