Good Christian girl, goes to good Christian school, gets first real boyfriend, gets pregnant. Scared shitless Christian girl (with boyfriend by her side) can't face parents or friends or acquaintances or self, so she gets an abortion. And her life goes on. Graduation, marriage, career, acting like it never happened. Self medicating with food. No children. No immediate forgiveness. Ten years later she accepts forgiveness from God and then chooses to forgive herself. Bad self-medicating food habits are still filling the missing parts of life. Ten more years go by and bad habits still reign, but drink has been added to the menu. Trying to live life like nothing happened is exhausting.
