My boyfriend and I have been together for about three years. My parents never liked him, but I still went to see him. When I ended up getting pregnant and being caught, before escaping my parents home, they said I was throwing my life away. I was nine weeks pregnant when they brought me up to Virginia to have the abortion the first time. I told them I didn't want this procedure done and they tried to help me—with nothing coming of it. My parents brought me back again. I no longer had the energy to fight. I gave up. I can't explain the feeling of losing everything. It’s a pain and grief you can never imagine. Losing the life I wanted to raise as well as my ability to speak freely until now.
